Pricing

If you've gotten this far, I just wanted take a minute and explain some of the price ranges and what you can expect.

Table pricing is determined by 3 things. The wood, the base and the amount of epoxy.

For example: I can build you a table out of a piece of plywood for much less than I can with a $5000 slab of wood. The base. I can either build one or we can install one. Installing one that is pre-made takes much less of my time, but I love building them too.

And the epoxy: I guess the most obvious is that you can use it or not. Totally a matter of taste and budget. If there's a significant amount in your idea, you can expect to pay $1000 a foot. You might be pleasantly surprised to find that it's not that much, but that's the ballpark.

As with the cost of these materials, each affects the labor involved. With the tables, or woodworking in general, there's a tremendous amount of time that goes into my work. Now, when I say woodworking, I'm not talking about cabinets or other things made from plywood. I'm talking about taking raw rough cut wood and turning it into furniture or anything else that gives it function. It takes time and skill. As I age, I value my time more and I'm starting to gain respect for my skills. I've spent a lot of time and money investing in those skills and the equipment that helps me perform them, so it's expensive, yes, but my hope is that I can build your family something that you will cherish and  would want to pass down to the next generation.

If you're still reading this, give me a call. I'd love to hear your vision.
