Custom Woodworkings

`Although, I do love the projects outside the shop, the projects inside the shop is where my true love lies. There is just something indescribable that the beauty of wood does to me and there is nothing I'd rather do than woodworking.

I would never claim to be the greatest, but I can guarantee to build you something beautiful that will last a lifetime....or two.

Breakfast/Card Table

Sycamore slab table with a milk paint base. My first piece working with Sycamore. It is an extraordinarily beautiful species like no other I've ever had the pleasure of working with. The grain simply fascinates me. This was one long slab that was cut in half and I chose to join the outer edge simply because I liked the darker colors flowing through the middle. This one also came with what turned out to be my favorite part of the table, a branch that had been pruned in the tree's younger years, only to be enveloped in the tree over many many years.

Live Edge Pecan Coffee Table

One of my favorites slabs I have worked with. It was such a beautiful mess. It had some dry rot and bore holes throughout, which added to the beauty of it , in my opinion. This one had it all. Spalting, beautiful knots and perfect cracks and holes for epoxy accents. I went with a matcha green epoxy that turned out beautifully with the wood and home's decor.

Experimental Walnut Dresser

This one actually started out as two bedside bureaus, but the client backed out as it neared completion, so I decided to turn it into something useful for me. I didn't really have a design. I just wanted to see if a Walnut weave would work and if I could build a framework that could hold the two pieces in an attractive fashion. The doors turned out surprisingly strong and the framework turned out very well too. In hindsight, I think I would have made the doors frames around the weave a bit wider, but over all, I liked how it turned out and I might incorporate the weave into a project in the future.

Cedar and Steel gate

This one was a simple gate for some wonderful clients. We had installed this privacy screen around their pool and decided to build a gate to match. It turned out to be a nice touch for their beautiful home.

Walnut Live Edge Dining Table

This was my first large table made out of a slab the client had and made to his specifications. I learned a ton doing this one, but honestly wish I could go back now start over with it. It was such a huge beautiful slab.

Fun Cedar Side Tables

This is one from a pair of side tables made from some very old reclaimed cedar and a pipe decor base. I actually liked the other top better, but I didn't have a good picture of it fully assembled.
